Transport Debrief Operative
Salary: £29,063 per annum
Working Hours: 10:00am – 19:00pm (1-hour unpaid break)
Shift Pattern: Any 5 days out of 7 (with a commitment to minimise weekend working to approximately one per month where possible)

Overview

We are delighted to be partnering with a leading premium food wholesaler and distributor to recruit a Transport Debrief Operative. This is a key operational role within a fast-paced logistics environment, offering the opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and compliance of a high-performing transport function.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct structured end-of-shift debriefs with drivers.
• Verify adherence to company policies and transport procedures.
• Ensure the return and reconciliation of fuel cards, trays, and associated equipment.
• Identify, investigate, and escalate any discrepancies or operational issues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with compliance standards.
• Liaise effectively with transport and warehouse teams to support daily operations.
• Have good comunication skills and be asertive in enforcing company polices and procedures.

Candidate Profile

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Commercially aware, proactive, and operationally focused
• Confident communicator, capable of being firm and authoritative where required
• Able to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience within transport, logistics, or a similar operational setting is desirable
